I studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara and graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science. Originally from the Bay Area, I have returned and am currently working at a startup as an engineering manager.
Today, I work to train, grow, and accelerate engineering teams, streamlining tools and processes to maximize developer productivity, while architecting and delivering on new functionality or entirely new products. I work to uplift engineers to do their best work and work with strategic organizational partners to plan and deliver on company projects and initiatives.
At SAP, I architected a scalable, distributed, parallel testing framework that leveraged containerization with Docker to enable fast and reliable testing of development changes to the SAP HANA product. Used internally by engineers, the service provided a testbed that sped up localized testing within the region by ~30% compared to tests run prior to the deployment of the testing framework.
From 2015 to 2018, I worked as a full stack software developer for UCSB’s Associated Students Business Services. I have designed and implemented software solutions for on-campus departments spanning a wide range of services, including transportation solutions for disabled students and student election tabulation software.
For the past decade, since 2010, I have contributed to a number of open source projects and programming competitions. Previously, I have worked as a software developer with Digital Media Instructional Technology Services, a 501(c)(3) non-profit in San Jose, CA. I have also worked as a freelance developer for several local Santa Barbara companies. My personal interests are in software security, networking, infrastructure, server backend, and user experience/interface design.
